Hospices of Hope Moldova, with the support of VIP Magazin, is honored to invite you to an extraordinary evening, dedicated to hope and comfort for those battling incurable illnesses. On December 18, 2024, at Madison Park, we invite you to join us for the traditional Winter Charity Gala, held for the first time alongside the TOP BRANDS 2024 event.

This year’s gala aims to strengthen and expand free pediatric palliative care services by creating a dedicated medical team exclusive for children who suffer from incurable illnesses and who require palliative care at a national level.

On Saturday, December 7, we warmly invite you to an unique event, led by Veronica Coberman, a diction and public speaking coach, dedicated to the art of communication, under the theme „Your voice is the image of your personality.”

Are you afraid of public speaking? Do emotions overwhelm you when you step on stage? Do filler words distract you and make you lose your ideas?  During the event, we will learn together how to control all these aspects and express ourselves authentically, both online and offline.

From October 7-10, Veronica Dragnev-Sacara, the Country Manager of Hospices of Hope Moldova, attended the first meeting of the Hospices of Hope network in the UK, bringing together six leaders from Hospices of Hope organizations in Southeast Europe, including Romania, Moldova, Ukraine, Serbia, Albania, and Greece.

The purpose of this meeting was to review progress in palliative care over the last three years, including developments in Moldova. The leaders discussed each country’s challenges and set objectives for the next three years, focusing on increasing patient access to free palliative care services for adults and children.

During the three-day event, we had the opportunity to engage with dedicated supporters of the organization, discussing long-term goals and addressing the urgent need for the sustainability of Hospices of Hope Moldova, which supports five local teams in Ocnița, Soroca, Orhei, Chișinău, and Taraclia.

We also expressed sincere thanks to Hospices of Hope UK and its British supporters for their ongoing support in developing palliative care services in Moldova—a relatively new concept in our society, but a fundamental human right for a dignified and pain-free life.

It was emphasized that approximately 30,000 people in Moldova need palliative care each year, but only 5,000 receive assistance, many of whom live in hard-to-reach rural areas. Therefore, there is an urgent need to expand access to these vital services for patients with terminal diagnoses, who often face unbearable pain and isolation.

The underlying theme of this gathering, highlighted by both country directors and supporters, was the shared mission to help as many children and adults as possible receive free palliative care whenever needed.

We are grateful to everyone who supports Hospices of Hope UK and Hospices of Hope Moldova. Thanks to your continuous support, our medical teams can offer free palliative care, which plays a crucial role in the lives of our beneficiaries and their families by providing them hope for a dignified and pain-free life.
