On September 29, our capital hosted the country’s largest running event, the Chișinău Marathon. Traditionally, Hospices of Hope Moldova, which offers free palliative care services, participates in this initiative, forming the #HopeInMotion team. The team’s participants run to support people who need help in their fight against incurable illness.

100 people, including representatives from local and international companies, diplomats, business people, activists, and professional athletes.

Each member set out to complete a distance of 5, 10, 21, or 42 km and contributed a participation donation to support the development of free palliative care services in Moldova for patients suffering from incurable diseases. These services include assistance from doctors, psychologists, physical therapists, nurses, and social workers, providing those in need with care, empathy, and support to maintain dignity in the face of the challenges caused by unfortunate diagnoses.

Year after year, the #HopeInMotion team grows stronger, gathering compassionate people determined to make a real difference in the lives of those with serious incurable diseases like cancer. Together, we ran not just for performance but to bring hope to those who need it most. We are grateful to everyone who chose to support us in this noble cause. For the beneficiaries of Hospices of Hope Moldova, every day is a struggle, and every moment of comfort and support counts immensely. We are thankful that we can be even closer to the patients who need our help. They are not alone in this fight and can rely on the free assistance we offer. Whether it’s medical, social, or psychological help, our multidisciplinary team is dedicated to providing maximum support to ensure our beneficiaries live pain-free until the end,” stated Veronica Dragnev-Sacara, Country Manager of Hospices of Hope Moldova.

Hospice of Hope Moldova would like to extend sincere thanks to the supporters and the team involved in this event. Each contribution is invaluable. Together, we give hope!
