Over 60 members #RunForHope team from 6 countries successfully completed the 5/10/21 and 42km distances. It was challenging, joyful, interesting and most importantly, the participants united to support the development of the National Network of paliative care Hospices of Hope Moldova.
"Running, pedaling, exercising in general is a more beautiful and healthier way of living, but when you do these activities with people and for people, you experience an intense feeling of fulfillment", mentioned the participant from Romania, Dan Brădeanu.
The British Ambassador in Chisinau, H.S. Steven Fisher, mentioned that it is a well-organized event that will help to expand palliative care services within the teams that are part of the National Network of Hospices of Hope Moldova in Ocnita, Taraclia, Soroca and Orhei. By participating in this marathon, everyone appealed to friends and acquaintances for donations, so these funds will allow the development of palliative services in the country.
The traditional supporter and participant in the 21km distance, Anthony Mauger, also shared his experience: "We collect money for cancer patients. The is a big needs in palliative services and Hospices of Hope Moldova is called everywhere by pacients. Everyone is involved in order to help pacients to reduce pain and die in peace. What we do is also prevention by developing sports in Moldova".
