On 27 May 2025, Hospices of Hope Moldova, with the generous support of Her Excellency Fern Horine, Ambassador of the United Kingdom to the Republic of Moldova, and in collaboration with the Executive Director of Hospices of Hope Moldova, Veronica Dragnev-Sacara, and Graham Perolls, Founder of Hospices of Hope, hosted “An Evening of Hope” at the British Residence in Chișinău.
This special evening marked one year since the launch of home-based palliative care services in the municipality of Chișinău, delivered by the dedicated medical team of Hospices of Hope Moldova.

In turn, Veronica Dragnev-Sacara, Country Manager of Hospices of Hope Moldova, emphasized the essential role of the interdisciplinary team in providing holistic support to both patients and their families—through medical care, counselling, and compassion.

The event brought together high-ranking officials, diplomats, and business leaders, alongside Graham Perolls, Founder of Hospices of Hope, who expressed heartfelt thanks to all those present for their continued support throughout the past year.
We extend our sincere gratitude to Purcari Wines for their generous support and refined wine selection, which delighted guests during a guided tasting led by sommelier Andrei Cibotaru.
The tasting was perfectly complemented by exquisite dishes provided by Amaris Catering, long-standing supporters who contribute with open hearts.
We also wish to thank Apa Bucovina Moldova for their constant support and trust.

During the evening, guests were invited to take part in a silent auction, supporting the mission of Hospices of Hope Moldova by bidding on special items generously donated by our partners, including:
-
The painting “The Flower of Life” by Cristina Balan, created especially for this event
-
A traditional ie blouse, kindly donated by Casa Cristea
-
A gentleman’s set offered by Churchill’s Cigar Club
-
Earrings from the new collection of pearlcode.co
-
A set of six wines from the Sapiens range by Purcari

All funds raised will directly support the expansion and sustainability of free palliative care services in the Republic of Moldova, making a tangible difference in the lives of those facing incurable illness.
From the bottom of our hearts, thank you to our dear partners and supporters. Thanks to your generosity and commitment, we are able to offer not only medical care, but what matters most — hope.
