Palliative Care at home

Palliative Care improves the quality of life of patients facing life-threatening illnesses and their families by preventing and alleviating suffering through early identification, assessment and appropriate treatment of pain and other physical, psycho-social and spiritual issues. Palliative Care has an interdisciplinary approach and includes the patient, the family and the community.

Palliative Care gives meaning and value to life, considering death as a normal process, while promoting dignity of the patients and a painless life.

  • Psycho-emotional counseling services for the patient and the extended family
  • Extended social welfare services
  • Counseling services within support groups
  • Phone counseling services
  • Humanitarian aid at the limit of availability
